Phyllis Joy Hammond, class of 1945, published her first book entitled ¨Traveling with Wildflowers from Newfoundland to Alaska¨ in 1998.  From that book stemmed invitations to speak in Denali, Arkansas and St. John´s Botanical Gardens, among other places.

Phyllis´ second book, which is currently in the works, will use artistic sketches from her travels with stories written by students from five local grammar schools in her area.  We look forward to seeing and reading the product of this innovative approach to writing!  Phyllis´ first book, ¨Traveling with Wildflowers from Newfoundland to Alaska¨ can be found on the Scarsdale Alumni Association Bookshelf and on Amazon Books.
