ORQUESTRATOR, MUSIC DIRECTOR AND CONDUCTOR
Charlie Alterman’s home was alive with the sound of music. So from the beginning it was not surprising to see him deeply involved in high school and summer theater.
At Brown University he continued to explore the theater, graduating in 1997, the same year he became the musical director of the Williamstown Theater Festival.
Now he has received numerous awards for orchestrating Next to Normal and Almost Heaven: the Songs of John Denver.
Charlie disproves the long lived cliché supposedly uttered by Leo Durocher, “Nice Guys Finish Last.”
