John Leventhal formed his first band in Quaker Ridge Elementary School. A few years later in Scarsdale High School, a new band with Robby Kaplan, Marc Shulman and Zev Katz with Leventhal on the guitar was a bright spot in their Scarsdale education.

From the descriptors above, it is clear that Tom Bernstein can do almost anything. Linking his various accomplishments together is his extraordinary leadership ability. In Scarsdale High, his personal magnetism, energy and common sense led to his election as G.O. President in the spring of 1969. Bernstein continued to thrive at Yale University, where he earned a BA, summa cum laude. In 1972, during the McGovern campaign, he was a delegate representing New York at the Democratic National Convention.

A distant relative of Barry Goldwater and a 1974 graduate of Miami University of Ohio, Goldwater secured his first job at Madison Square Garden. Twenty-four years later he was still there with the title Vice President of Facilities Presentation.

And so she did.
