David Feldshuh (SHS 1961)

PHYSICIAN AND DRAMATIST

David Feldshuh left Scarsdale High School at full sprint first at Dartmouth College and later at the London Academy of Dramatic Arts. That was only the beginning. Feldshuh then joined the Tyrone Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis as a actor and later as a director touring with Isaac Bashevis Singer.

At the age of thirty-two, Feldshuh decided to become a doctor, passing the necessary courses and becoming a certified emergency room physician working the in the emergency room at the Ithaca Hospital.  At the same time, she moved up the administrative ladder and was appointed Director of Dramatic Arts at Cornell University.  In his spare time he authored a Pulitzer nominated play Miss Evers Boys.
